Peru-Germany commemorate 150-year anniversary of diplomatic relations

The virtual conference "150 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Peru and Germany" was held on Thursday.



The meeting was inaugurated by the Director of the Diplomatic Academy, Ambassador Gustavo Meza-Cuadra.

On this occasion, Deputy Minister Higueras referred to the political, economic, and cultural ties that have marked the important relationship with our European partner; while Deputy Minister Berger highlighted the deep ties uniting both nations at the bilateral and multilateral levels.

The conference featured presentations by specialist in international law, Dr. Fabian Novak, who made a presentation on the historical evolution of Peruvian-German relations.

It also saw the presence of German Ambassador Stefan Herzberg, who made a presentation on the current state and perspectives on the relations between both countries.

The interest of participants was reflected in the various questions asked, which were answered by the invited panelists.
