The Presidential Meeting and 3rd
Peru-Chile Binational Cabinet —set to take place on October 10 in Paracas (Ica region)— will address five thematic axes.
The thematic axes proposed are:
1. Social issues and culture for integration.
2. Security and defense.
3.
Foreign trade, investments, tourism, as well as cooperation in science and technology.
4. Environment, sustainable development, as well as energy and
mining issues.
5. Border development and integration, as well as infrastructure issues.
The accords adopted in Paracas will be the result of a year of work between the technical bodies of 18 Peruvian and 23 Chilean ministries.
It must be noted Binational Cabinets constitute a mechanism for political dialogue between two nations with the purpose of working on specific issues of common concern included in the bilateral agenda.
