Peru: Walter Gutierrez appointed Permanent Representative to UNWTO

The Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has appointed Peruvian Ambassador to Spain, Walter Francisco Gutierrez Camacho, as Peru's Permanent Representative to the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

The designation was established by Supreme Resolution No. 067-2023-RE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on Thursday.

Gutierrez Camacho currently serves as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Peru to the Kingdom of Spain.

This regulation provides for the granting of corresponding credentials and full powers to serve in the position at said international organization, based in the city of Madrid.

The designation was made in accordance with Section 12 of Article 118 of the Political Constitution of Peru, which establishes the power of the Head of State to appoint Ambassadors and Ministers Plenipotentiary, with the approval of the Council of Ministers, responsible for reporting to Congress.
