Peru’s National Volleyball Federation officially introduced 14 players, who will represent the Inca country at Japan's qualifying tournament towards Rio 2016 Olympics.
Among players, experienced captain Mirtha Uribe, Angela Leyva and Clarivett Yllescas stand out.
“This is the last chance we’ve got to qualify for the Olympic Games, and we know it will be a difficult task, but it won’t be impossible either. We will play to the best of our abilities, in order to bring that qualification to Peru," Mirtha Uribe said.
Teams Peru, Japan, Kazakhstan, Italy, South Korea, Netherlands, Thailand and the Dominican Republic will have to face each other to obtain one of the three available tickets.
