Peru, U.S. Presidents hold phone conversation about COVID-19 pandemic

United States President Donald J. Trump spoke with the President of the Republic of Peru, Martin Vizcarra, on Saturday, the U.S. Embassy in Lima has reported.


Likewise, the foreign leader praised the bravery and steadfastness of the Peruvian people in their determination to lower the incidence of the virus in the South American country.

Furthermore, President Trump offered United States assistance to support Peru's healthcare needs. 

Moreover, both leaders agreed that international cooperation is paramount in confronting this health crisis. 

President Trump also thanked President Vizcarra for being a strong supporter of a return of democracy in Venezuela and for standing up for freedom throughout the region.
