"The International Cooperation and Extradition Section of the Attorney General's Office reports that the Government of the United States of America has agreed to the request for an extension of the extradition of Alejandro Toledo Manrique, who is prosecuted in the Ecoteva case for alleged money laundering," the Attorney General's Office announced on the X platform Sunday evening.
It was also indicated that the Second Superior Prosecutor's Office Specialized in Money Laundering, headed by High Prosecutor Rafael Vela, had filed said request against Toledo.
The post states that the Ecoteva case is currently in oral trial stage in the Ninth Superior Chamber of the Lima Superior Court.
