Peru's Foreign Affairs Ministry boosted diplomatic efforts to strengthen ties between Shanghai Municipal People's Government and Cusco City Municipality, thus making effective the collaboration uniting both State-run institutions.
To this end, on August 24, Cusco Mayor Carlos Moscoso welcomed a Shanghai Municipal Government delegation led by Deputy Mayor Chen Yin.
Officials discussed the priority programs that the Andean City Hall offers, which require international technical cooperation assistance.
At the end of the visit, parties signed a Letter of Intent that will allow both organizations to collaborate on: urban planning, protection of historical architecture, road-infrastructure, tourism promotion and related activities, as well as information technologies for the use in education and culture sectors.
