Peruvian ministers of State rejected the false assertions related to the President of the Republic, Francisco Sagasti.

In a statement —disseminated on their social networks— Cabinet members lamented the statements made by former Foreign Affairs Minister Elizabeth Astete in her defense before Congress' Subcommittee on Constitutional Accusations.

Likewise, the dignitaries specified that —on January 21— no ordinary or extraordinary session of the Council of Ministers had taken place.

Last night, the Presidency of the Republic also issued a statement regarding the versions that circulate referring to the
case of the irregular COVID-19 vaccination of Astete.

In this regard, the Presidential Office said "it is false that the President of the Republic, Francisco Sagasti, had authorized or given his consent for the irregular vaccination of the former minister."
