The "
Itinerant Pucara Bull: Ambassador of the Peruvian Highlands" exhibition promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is hosted on board the
Peruvian Navy training ship BAP Union, on Thursday arrived at Papeete port on the island of Tahiti in French Polynesia.
The display consists of panels with photographs of some of the 50 pieces that have been exhibited in more than 20 cities around the world since 2022.
With the support of Puno region's authorities and the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the photo exhibition features
pieces handmade by 10 associations of artisans and potters in Pucara.
The
Peruvian Embassy in France translated the exhibition notes into French, produced an audio guide, and created QR codes, for a better understanding of locals who may visit the display and the ship
until July 17.
In addition, it was visited by High Commissioner in French Polynesia Eric Spitz, Consular Agent at the U.S. Consular Agency in French Polynesia Christopher Kozely, and Chinese Consul General in French Polynesia Tian Lixiao.
It should be pointed out that this is the first of 20 ports to which the exhibition will travel along with the ship.
Other cities to be visited include Busan (Korea), Bombay (India), Alexandria (Egypt), Piraeus (Greece), Cadiz (Spain), Baltimore (United States), to name a few.
