The Prosecutor's Office and police agents raided the house of National Police Commander General Raul Alfaro, within the framework of the investigation against the criminal organization allegedly led by Jorge Hernandez, also known as El español (the Spanish).

The measure was adopted by the Third National Preparatory Investigation Court at the request of the Special Team of Prosecutors against Corruption of Power (EFICCOP).

Authorities also raided the house of former National Police Commander General Luis Vera, who is also implicated in the investigation against Jorge Hernandez.

The raids took place in the Peruvian capital Lima, in the districts of San Borja and Surco, where the homes of the current and former police commanders general, respectively, are located.

According to images shared by a media outlet, Raul Alfaro was present at the birthday celebration of 'El español' in December 2021.
