Lava Jato Case Prosecutor Jose Domingo Perez on Monday expressed his concern regarding the leak of the preparatory collaboration agreement expected to have been signed by the Public Ministry,
Odebrecht, and the Attorney's Office.
"Apparently, wrongful acts or practices of having obtained copies or photographs of an archived document at the Prosecutor's Offices are occurring, as well as a wrongful use of social media," Perez told reporters.
The prosecutor recalled it had been said that there are informants within the Public Ministry who are linked to "certain people under investigation."
According to him, this practice or leak method should be paid attention to, since there is a risk of interference, which could hinder the investigations and
generate impunity.
"There is a legitimate concern. Due to what happened today I will request to redouble the security at the facilities of the Prosecutor's Office and to reassess all the assigned staff, especially the security staff," Perez said.
Likewise, he affirmed there is a strong willingness from the Brazilian company, the Attorney's Office, and the Prosecutor's Office to
sign this collaboration agreement and have it ratified by a judge.
