During the OECD Ministerial Council Meeting (MCM) sessions in Paris,
highlighted Peru's programs aimed at combating informality, promoting inclusive trade, and fostering women's economic empowerment.
In this context, the diplomat emphasized that Peru's APEC 2024 presidency achieved consensus on the adoption of the Lima Roadmap, which promotes the transition toward a formal and global economy.
Likewise, he highlighted the collaboration between the OECD and APEC aimed at promoting labor market reforms to reduce informality, enhancing access to quality education, leveraging digital tools for economic inclusion, and fostering inclusive trade and market access.
"Multilateral approaches and cooperation are essential for our success," Ambassador Schialer stated.
Minister Schialer mentioned the "Ventanilla Unica de Formalizacion" (Single Window for Formalization) project, an easily accessible digital tool designed to simplify and centralize the formalization process for SMEs, which aligns with OECD standards.
Similarly, the diplomat highlighted the "Tu Empresa" (Your Enterprise) program, which provides advisory and training opportunities to entrepreneurs and SMEs.
Furthermore, the minister emphasized the "Llamkasun Peru" temporary employment program, which created 317,000 jobs between 2022 and 2024 for vulnerable young adults.
He also mentioned that implementing the program "Somos Mujeres y Hacemos Ciencia" (We Are Women and We Do Science) helps promote women's empowerment by encouraging their engagement with science.
