Peru: Private sector liquidity up 5.7% year-on-year in Oct 2025

Private sector liquidity, which includes currency in circulation plus deposits, recorded a 5.7% year-on-year increase in October 2025, the Central Reserve Bank (BCR) reported.

"This increase was supported by the rise in local currency liquidity, which recorded a 3.8% growth, and in foreign currency, which rose by 10.8%," the issuing entity explained.

By components, currency in circulation grew 11.9% year-on-year in October, while deposits increased 4.6%.

By type of deposit, savings deposits increased 11.6% year-on-year, and demand deposits grew 5.8% in the tenth month of 2025 compared to October 2024.

In monthly terms, liquidity rose 1.3% in October, including a 0.9% increase in currency in circulation and 1.4% in deposits.
