Private investment in Peru is in good shape, showing better prospects after a downward trend during the past year.
In addition, projections by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) also contributed to a solid positive trend.
MEF head Maria Antonieta Alva estimated that private investment might have experienced its highest level of growth in the third quarter of the current year.
Therefore, private investment is likely to have grown by about 7% between July and September this year.
It should be noted the private investment growth rate was 5.3% in the first quarter, 8.7% in the second, 1.4% in the third, and 2.1% in the fourth.
Public investment
On the other hand, the Central Reserve Bank noted that
public investment experienced a significant increase of 6.1% in the second quarter after a 10.7% decline during the first three months of the year.
