Peru's Primer Minister Mirtha Vasquez on Monday held a meeting with British Minister for Exports Mike Freer and British Ambassador to Peru Kate Harrisson.

At the meeting, the authorities discussed topics of common interest such as economic recovery after the pandemic, the fight against COVID-19, and climate change.

"Prime Minister Mirtha Vasquez met with British Ambassador Kate Harrisson and Minister for Exports Mike Freer," reads a tweet from the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM).

"During the meeting, they reviewed issues of the bilateral agenda such as response to the pandemic, economic recovery, climate change, among other topics," the PCM wrote in the post.

Earlier on Monday, the British minister visited and verified that the facilities of the National Sports Village (Videna) —which is the venue for high-performance sports and COVID-19 vaccination— are in good condition.

During said visit, Freer was accompanied by Executive-Director of the Pan American and Parapan American Games Special Legacy Project Alberto Valenzuela.
