In a message delivered at the Government Palace, accompanied by
President Dina Boluarte and State ministers, Adrianzen expressed his sincere gratitude to the Head of State for the trust placed in him to serve as Cabinet chief.
"Madam President, thinking of the homeland's best interests, I am today compelled to present my irrevocable resignation from the position of President of the Council of Ministers, a position you honored me with through Supreme Resolution No. 061-2024, dated March 6 of this year," Adrianzen stated.
"During the time I served as prime minister, I did so with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment, always in accordance with the oath I took before you, Madam President, to perform my duties without committing acts of corruption," he said.
Likewise, Adrianzen expressed his recognition and gratitude to the State ministers who accompanied him during his tenure, as well as to the officials and staff of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM).
"I attribute these achievements to them; they are the architects of all we have managed to accomplish in these nearly 15 months of service to the homeland," he expressed.
Furthermore, Adrianzen told the top official that his vocation to serve the country remains unshaken, adding that he will be "always ready to respond to your call to continue in the noble task of serving Peru."
Adrianzen wished success to the government's administration in the remaining months and stated that history will be the one to recognize the effort made.
"Then, and only then, justice will be served, and the great effort made will be recognized for daring to govern the country in its most difficult hours; sooner or later, it will be known that we did it all for Peru and that we did it with strength," he concluded.
Gustavo Adrianzen took office on March 6, 2024. He had previously served as Peru's Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States (OAS).
Before submitting his resignation, the former Council of Ministers head took part in the swearing-in ceremony of Raul Perez Reyes, Carlos Malaver Odias, and Cesar Sandoval Pozo, as the new ministers of Economy-Finance, Interior, and Transportation-Communications, respectively.
