Presidential candidate Keiko Fujimori, representing Fuerza Popular (Popular Force Party), cast her vote Sunday morning at Educational Institution No. 7086 Libertador San Martín, located in Lima's San Borja district.

Fujimori voted around midday at polling station No. 59318.

Dressed in a white blouse and blue trousers, the candidate arrived at her polling place shortly before casting her ballot.

She was accompanied by members of her team and entered the polling site amid a calm atmosphere.

At the time, hundreds of voters had gathered at the school to fulfill their civic duty.

Earlier, the candidate began her schedule with a visit to the Campo Fe cemetery in Huachipa, where she paid tribute at her parents' graves. Afterwards, she led a breakfast meeting attended by her relatives.

During that activity, Fujimori expressed confidence in how the electoral day would unfold.

Likewise, she called on Peruvians to take part in the vote with calm and hope for the country’s future.

At another point, the candidate said the public must await the results with serenity and prudence, stressing that the outcome must be respected by all.

More than 27 million Peruvians are heading to the polls today to choose the President of the Republic, vice presidents, senators, deputies, and Andean Parliament representatives, in an electoral process running from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

A total of 92,766 polling tables are expected to be installed nationwide. In Metropolitan Lima and the Constitutional Province of Callao, 2,260 polling places have been set up, most of them in schools and universities.
