Today, July 29, within the framework of Peru's 203rd Independence Anniversary celebrations, President Dina Boluarte will lead the traditional Great Civic and Military Parade to be watched by thousands of citizens.

The event will be held on Brasil Avenue in Lima's Jesus Maria district.

As is known, this activity took place at the Army headquarters in Lima's San Borja district between 2020 and 2022 to prevent crowds at times of COVID-19. However, it was returned to the aforementioned avenue in 2023.

Held every July 29, the traditional event gathers detachments representing the country's military institutions and National Police.

As usual, the ceremony will see the presence of State ministers, Congress members, high-ranking military officers, religious authorities, and diplomats.

Stands have been erected to seat authorities and public in general, who will not hesitate to come early, as seating is limited.

Upon arrival in the area, the Head of State will review the troops at the main stand and will then authorize a high-ranking military officer to start the activity.

Next, members of the Peruvian Army, Air Force, Navy, and National Police will delight spectators with their stiff march, gala uniforms, and varied equipment.

Held as part of Independence Day festivities, the parade pays tribute to Peruvian Armed Forces for their contribution to the country.

It is also an opportunity to inspire patriotism and love for the country.

Thanksgiving Ceremony

The President will begin her activities at "Mision Cristiana Camino de Vida" (Way of Life Christian Mission) Church, in Lima's Surco district, today at 8:00 a.m. (local time).

There, she will participate in the Thanksgiving for Peru Ceremony.

As is known, the country's top official delivered an Address to the Nation yesterday, July 28.
