The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte held a phone conversation with Ecuadorian President-elect Daniel Noboa to whom she reiterated congratulations for his victory in the recent democratic election held in said neighboring country.

This was reported by the Presidential Office on the X platform (formerly known as Twitter).

During the conversation, the Head of State expressed her will to continue strengthening the bilateral relationship of cooperation and friendship with Ecuador.

Likewise, Mrs. Boluarte invited Mr. Noboa to visit our country.

"We will receive you with the sincere affection from a brother nation," said the president, who was accompanied by Foreign Affairs Minister Ana Cecilia Gervasi on this occasion.

Besides, the top official underscored that this year both countries commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Brasilia Peace Accords signing.

Said event will be held in Lima this October and see the participation of Heads of State and Government, high-ranking dignitaries, as well as commissioners from Peru and Ecuador, among others.

The signing of the Brasilia Peace Accords took place on October 26, 1998, marking a turning point in the history of Peru and Ecuador.

These agreements laid the foundations for the development of a relationship of friendship, cooperation, integration, and mutual benefit for both populations.
