Peru: President supervises vaccination of people with Down syndrome

The President of the Republic Francisco Sagasti on Tuesday oversaw the startup of vaccination against COVID-19 of people with Down syndrome aged above 18 years.

The Head of State was joined by Prime Minister Violeta Bermudez and Health Minister Oscar Ugarte on the occasion.

The event took place at Niño Heroe Manuel Bonilla Municipal Sports Complex in Lima's Miraflores district.

Starting today, people with Down syndrome will be immunized against COVID-19 nationwide.

Therefore, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) has established a schedule for citizens to attend vaccination centers in accordance with their ID card number.
