Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Thursday supervised the forest recovery works in Tambopata National Reserve.
The reserve belongs to Madre de Dios, a region affected by illegal mining.
In this sense, the top official stressed that —through intervention and afforestation— Tambopata's affected areas are being recovered and preserved.
During the supervision, the statesman joined the planting of trees along with Environment Minister Fabiola Muñoz.
