Peru: President Sagasti visits hospital in Rioja

The President of the Republic Francisco Sagasti on Thursday morning supervised the functioning of Rioja Hospital in San Martin region.

During this visit, the Head of State was joined by Health Minister Oscar Ugarte and medical personnel from the healthcare establishment.

It must be noted that this hospital has been allocated S/21 million (about US$5.71 million) this week.

Mr. Sagasti arrived at the aforementioned establishment after having led the delivery of medical equipment that will be distributed to health personnel in Rioja.

The agenda for this working visit also included a tour of a livestock production improvement project run by the regional government.
