on Thursday reiterated his commitment to persist in the defense of the sovereign self-determination of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR).
Via his official Twitter account, the Head of State made this statement —one year after having established diplomatic relations with the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic.
On September 8, 2021, Peru and the SADR agreed to reestablish diplomatic relations, as well as reaffirmed their respect for international law and the principle of self-determination of the peoples.
The agreement was made in accordance with the principle of legal equality of States as the basis of respect for national sovereignty, peace, security, and cooperation in terms of international relations.
