Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra congratulated the recently-elected authorities following Sunday's regional and local elections held across the Inca country.
Via social media, the Head of State reiterated the Executive Power's commitment to supporting the new administrations —set to take office on January 1st, 2019— so that projects keep moving forward.
"(…) let's fight head-on against corruption, with the aim of benefiting all citizens," reads his post on Twitter.
"Peruvians participated massively in today's democratic party, thus reaffirming our republican values. I welcome and acknowledge youth, adults, and seniors for their commitment to Peru," Vizcarra added.
