Peru: President pays unexpected visit to Dos de Mayo Hospital and police stations

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Tuesday morning paid an unexpected visit to Zarate and La Huayrona police stations in Lima's San Juan de Lurigancho district, as well as to Dos de Mayo Hospital located in downtown Lima, to verify the care of patients and observe the situation of police units.

In the pictures shared by the Presidency of the Republic via Twitter, President Castillo is seen talking with hospitalized patients, as well as sharing with the public who wait to be treated and the health personnel who work at Dos de Mayo Hospital.

The Head of State visited various facilities at the Lima-based hospital, and even spoke with a minor who has been admitted to the health center.

Similarly, the visit of President Castillo took members of the National Police by surprise, who were on duty at the Zarate and La Huayrona police stations located in San Juan de Lurigancho district.

The country's top official talked with them while visiting the different areas within said police units.
