The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Friday participated in the launch of the National Policy for Development and Social Inclusion by 2030.

This event was held at the Government Palace in the Peruvian capital, Lima.

On December 31, 2022, the Executive Branch approved the National Policy for Development and Social Inclusion by 2030, which constitutes the instrument that guides the State actions in this sector for the long term.

According to Supreme Decree 008-2022-Midis, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano, the scope of application of said policy is mandatory and applies to all public administration entities, as well as to legal entities under private law and civil society.

Thus, entities at every government level —within the framework of their powers and duties— must assume their obligations and responsibilities.

The regulation provides that the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion shall lead the National Policy for Development and Social Inclusion by 2030 —in its capacity as governing body in matters of development and social inclusion.

It also carries out the corresponding follow-up and assessment works.
