took part in the first session of the Fiscal Agreement for Sustainable Growth at the Government Palace in Lima on Thursday.
The Head of State was accompanied by Economy and Finance Minister Denisse Miralles, Congress' Third Vice Chairman Ilich Lopez, and Constitutional Court Chairwoman Luz Pacheco, among other officials.
The Fiscal Agreement is a strategic initiative designed to establish a permanent forum for national dialogue and consensus on fiscal matters, with the aim of ensuring economic stability and Peru's long-term growth.
The first session marked the beginning of a national process convening a broad and diverse group of participants, including the Executive Branch, the Congress of the Republic, regional and local governments, constitutionally autonomous institutions, the private sector, academia, and former economy ministers, among other key actors.
The Fiscal Agreement's main purpose is to build state-level consensus around clear, predictable, and sustainable fiscal rules.
These measures aim to preserve macroeconomic stability, strengthen investor confidence, and ensure the responsible and efficient use of public resources in a context of growing social demands, fiscal constraints, and a challenging international environment.
