Peru: President meets with Yanahuanca population in Pasco

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo held a meeting with citizens of Yanahuanca in Pasco region on Saturday.

On this occasion, the Head of State was joined by Ministers Daniel Barragan (Defense), Richard Tineo (Transportation-Communications), and Cesar Paniagua (Housing), plus Mayor Raul Hermitaño and Huanuco Region Governor Erasmo Fernandez.

The top official arrived in the area to supervise the progress of the broadband project aimed at connecting internet and intranet services for the benefit of development in this zone.

This public work is projected to provide internet access to 264 population centers.

Earlier, President Castillo inspected Stretch 2 of the Oyon-Ambo Highway in Daniel Alcides Carrion province.

The public work will benefit farmers in this region, as they will be able to trade and distribute their products to the coastal and Amazonian areas.

Minister Tineo stressed that Government officials traveled to Pasco to verify the progress of the aforementioned highway project. He also pledged to complete the works that had begun four years ago.

Similarly, he promised to promote the Oxapampa Airport so that Pasco region can have access via air to various parts of the country.
