Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Thursday welcomed
to the Government Palace in the capital city of Lima.
The officials held a private meeting on the occasion.
In this sense, the visit of the engineer and former astronaut is aimed at supporting the Canadian athletes who will compete in the mega-sports event.
The Head of State was joined by Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Nestor Popolizio.
It should be noted this year marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Peru and Canada.
