Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Tuesday held a working meeting with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Special Envoy Angelina Jolie.
The event was also attended by Foreign Affairs Minister Nestor Popolizio.
Once the meeting came to an end, the Peruvian cabinet member and the
UNHCR Special Envoy delivered remarks to the press.
According to the UN agency, Peru is one of the countries most affected by the surge in Venezuelan refugees and migrants –the largest movement of people in Latin America's recent history.
