Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski met with Guatemalan leader Jimmy Morales and Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) President Luis Alberto Moreno, as part of his activities in Paris.

The gathering took place following his participation at the International Economic Forum on Latin America and the Caribbean, held by the intergovernmental organization.

Peru and Guatemala seek to become full members of the Organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), which explains their attendance at the forum.

The Morales meeting saw the presence of Peru's Foreign Affairs Ricardo Luna and Guatemalan government officials.

Morales and Moreno audiences were held separately and privately.

Kuczynski and Morales were welcomed on Thursday by French President Emmanuel Macron, with whom they held separate meetings and discussed fight against climate change.

Peru is an essential partner in international negotiations on climate change for France, considering their joint work undertaken from Lima 2014 to Paris 2015.
