The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Friday led the 131st session of the National Agreement Forum at the Government Palace in Lima.

The session presented the "Consensus for Peru," deemed by the National Agreement as priority guidelines for the short and medium term in health; education; the fight against poverty and extreme poverty; sustainable economic growth supported by decent employment; as well as political and justice reforms.

These guidelines constitute developments of the State policies and the Vision for Peru to 2050. Likewise, they point towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals that Peru is committed to adopting as a member State of the United Nations.

In addition to the institutions that make up the National Agreement, the event saw the presence of Congress Chairwoman Maria del Carmen Alva, State ministers, regional governors, and representatives of constitutionally autonomous bodies.

Part of them attended the event virtually to comply with health-related protocols.

As is known, the National Agreement Forum is the tripartite space for dialogue and consensus building, made up of the Government at its three levels (national, regional, and local), political parties with representation at Congress of the Republic, and civil society organizations.
