Peru: President leads 8th Decentralized Council of Ministers

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo led the 8th Decentralized Council of Ministers session, which took place in the city of Pucallpa, eastern Peru, on Thursday.

The Head of State was joined by Prime Minister Anibal Torres, ministers from various sectors, local authorities, and representatives of social organizations.

This meeting had as objective working on a territorial development agenda for the region so as to close inequality gaps.

This way, it sought to meet the needs and strengthen dialogue with social organizations, as well as regional and local authorities of Ucayali.

Last Wednesday, the President led the 7th Decentralized Council of Ministers in Ayacucho region.

At the event, the problems of the Valley of the Apurimac, Ene and Mantaro Rivers (VRAEM) were addressed.
