The
President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Thursday morning led the 39th session of the High-Level Anti-Corruption Commission, which took place at the Government Palace and included the participation of heads of the country's main institutions.
The Executive Branch's Integrity Strategy to 2022 —for the prevention of acts of corruption— was presented during this meeting.
Likewise, the participants analyzed the report of bills in matters of integrity and the fight against corruption, which were submitted to the Congress of the Republic.
In addition, the session included a presentation on the promotion and implementation of ethical and civic values in education to promote the fight against corruption.
On the other hand, the Commission assessed the status of the process that updates the National Policy on Integrity and Fight against Corruption to 2030.
Finally, the election of the Chairman of the High Level Anti-Corruption Commission took place during this session.
About the Commission
The High-Level Anti-Corruption Commission constitutes a space for articulation and coordination among public, private, and civil society institutions.
Its objective is to propose short, medium, and long term policies aimed at preventing and fighting corruption in the country.
It is attached to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM).
