Peru: President lays cornerstone of Huari Hospital

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Friday participated in a ceremony to lay the first stone of the new Huari Hospital in Ancash region.

It is a category II hospital, which will be developed under the Works for Taxes scheme with an investment that exceeds S/192 million (over US$50 million).

The hospital, to be built thanks to an agreement between the Health Ministry and Antamina mining company, will benefit more than 102,000 people in the region. The health center will also host a medical oxygen plant.

This center will have 37 hospital beds, 5 Intermediate Care Unit beds, 6 cribs, 15 medical offices, an operating room, and a labor room.
