Peru President laments death of seismologist Julio Kuroiwa

Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Wednesday deeply lamented the death of Engineer Julio Kuroiwa.

According to the Head of State, Kuroiwa was a professional who had been dedicated to the development of seismology in Peru.

In this sense, the top official recalled he had been his teacher and thesis advisor at the National University of Engineering (UNI).

Likewise, he indicated the engineer had been a good friend and noble person.

Last Tuesday, seismologist Julio Kuroiwa passed away at the age of 83, after being hospitalized for many days due to lung disease, UNI Rector Jorge Alva informed.
