Peru: President Jeri participates in national flag-raising ceremony in Ica region

The President of the Republic, Jose Jeri, took part in the national flag-raising ceremony in the city of Pisco, Ica region, on Thursday, as part of efforts to strengthen national identity.

The Head of State was accompanied by Interior Minister Vicente Tiburcio, Peruvian National Police General Commander Oscar Arriola, and local authorities.

The top official is scheduled to carry out a working agenda in the city of Ica.

President Jeri is joined by a delegation of State ministers, as well as lawmakers from various congressional blocs representing the region.

The highest-ranking regional and municipal authorities are also present.

Medal presentation

Subsequently, the President awarded a medal of recognition to the Brotherhood of the Lord of Agony at Belen Church, as a gesture of State recognition of living culture, traditions, and faith as elements that strengthen national identity and social cohesion.

The Head of State was accompanied at this event by Social Development and Inclusion Minister Lesly Shica, along with local authorities.
