The President of the Republic, Jose Jeri, on Monday held a working meeting with 15 regional governors in the Tupac Amaru Room of the Government Palace in Lima.

"The country cannot stop, and with that in mind and under a very high sense of responsibility, I sincerely appreciate the presence here at the Government Palace today from all of you as an association," the Head of State expressed.

The top official noted that it is an obligation to always maintain constant communication and coordinated work with the country's authorities, especially in the current context.

In turn, National Assembly of Regional Governments (ANGR) Chairman Fabian Koki Noriega proposed a technical meeting of the regional authorities with the new ministerial cabinet on October 21.

Noriega explained that the meeting's aim is to ensure the continuity of those projects currently being implemented in regions.

"This is going to be very decisive for us, because the new cabinet must understand that everything achieved so far, instead of being paralyzed, should move forward even more," he expressed.

Meanwhile, Arequipa Region Governor Rohel Sanchez invited President Jeri to visit Arequipa on Wednesday for the 10th International Congress of the Spanish Language (CILE).

The upcoming event will bring together authorities, academics, and figures from the Spanish-speaking world in a series of activities.
