Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Friday inaugurated the new facilities of 'Nuestros Heroes de la Guerra del Pacifico' (Our Heroes of the Pacific War) School, located in the southern city of Tacna.
Accompanied by Education Minister Flor Pablo and local authorities, the Head of State toured the venue.
The educational institution is projected to benefit 1,300 schoolchildren from the initial, primary, and secondary levels.
The corresponding investment amounted to S/15 million (about US$4.44 million).
"Today we inaugurate a school in accordance with the standards we want for our children's education, with laboratories, a computer center, and a sports area. Our effort is for the students of the country to receive a quality education," the Head of State expressed.
