Peru: President inaugurates EsSalud Village for COVID-19 patients

Peruvian President Martín Vizcarra on Friday inaugurated the new Villa EsSalud (Social Health Insurance System Village) for coronavirus patients in San Ignacio Province.

While visiting the facilities of this new health center, the top official supervised the vaccination campaign against diphtheria.

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported that the second National Vaccination Day against Diphtheria and other diseases will be held this weekend.

According to Minsa, more than 4,000 strategic points will be set up nationwide, where 501,603 doses will be provided to children, adolescents, youth, adults, and senior citizens.

The Head of State was accompanied by Prime Minister Walter Martos and Social Health Insurance System (EsSalud) Executive-President Fiorella Molinelli on the occasion.
