President Martin Vizcarra began his round of meetings with his Latin American peers early on Friday, within the framework of the 8th Summit of the Americas.
Thus, Peru's top official met with Bolivian counterpart Evo Morales, who highlighted his country's good relations with Peru.
Afterward, Presidents Vizcarra and Luis Guillermo Solis (Costa Rica) joined a gathering to discuss issues of common interest, including the strengthening of democratic governance
against corruption.
The Peruvian leader also held a bilateral meeting with Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos.
On that occasion, both Heads of State addressed topics such as the organization of the annual
Binational Cabinets and expressed their commitment to integration within the
Pacific Alliance.
Other gatherings scheduled for today include those with Presidents Sebastian Piñera (Chile), Jimmy Morales (Guatemala), and Jovenel Moise (Haiti).
