The President of the Republic Francisco Sagasti on Friday morning traveled to Peru's Amazonas region to fulfill a series of activities aimed at promoting sectors such as tourism, labor, and health, thus continuing to strengthen joint efforts with regional governments.

"From the Government, we continue to strengthen the work with regions, acting in a joint and coordinated manner, ratifying our commitment to the country," the Head of State expressed in a video message posted on Twitter.

Among the topics to be addressed by the top official are boosting visits to Kuelap, which relies on a Safe Travels Stamp.

Likewise, the statesman will oversee the startup of the Trabaja Peru (Work, Peru) Program, which will highlight archaeological remains in the city of Chachapoyas.

He will also supervise the vaccination of older adults against COVID-19 and hold a work meeting with Amazonas authorities.
