The current Government is working to achieve progress and well-being of Peruvian nationals, mainly of those in remote areas,
President Martin Vizcarra affirmed Thursday.
Remarks were made during the opening of Calemar Bridge in Bambamarca district of Bolivar province (La Libertad region).
"From now on, you have a government and president that care for the population, not only with speeches, but with facts, works, bridges, roads, and machinery. This results in progress and development all over the country," the statesman pointed out.
The Peruvian leader Vizcarra stressed the importance of this infrastructure project, as it links cities along the coast, highlands, and rainforest of this northern macro-region.
Works entailed an investment of S/20 million (about US$6 million) and will benefit more than 20,000 citizens in Bolivar province.
"Roads bring development. This highway will favor Calemar, Condormarca, Bambamarca, and Bolivar inhabitants, providing the integration we so desperately need," Vizcarra expressed.
"We are doing our utmost to raise living standards in remote areas and bring the same living conditions as those enjoyed in big cities," he added.
