on Sunday evening convened an emergency meeting with Ministerial Cabinet members to address the events that recently occurred in the city of Trujillo.
Following her return to Lima after a working visit to Puno region, the Head of State began the aforementioned meeting at 7:30 p.m. (local time).
The meeting was attended by Cabinet Chief Luis Galarreta, as well as Ministers Rafael Belaunde (Defense) and Cesar Astudillo (Interior).
At the gathering, the authorities assessed the situation reported in Trujillo and the immediate measures to be taken by the Executive Branch.
