The Cerro Juli Temporary Hospital is equipped with 200 beds with oxygen supply.
The Government delegation handed over 7 high-tech volumetric ventilators with their respective cutting-edge monitors and almost 4 tons of materials, including medical supplies.
They also brought personal protective equipment, 18,000 rapid tests, medications, oxygen cylinders, and COVID-19 treatment kits, which will be distributed in Arequipa and Moquegua regions.
In addition, a team of 30 health professionals, including doctors and nurses, will join the front-line of the fight against the novel coronavirus in Arequipa.
The temporary facility was built with the budget allocated by the Authority for Reconstruction with Changes (ARCC).
Arequipa is one of the seven regions placed under
localized quarantine, decreed by the Government within the framework of the state of health emergency due to Coronavirus (COVID-19).
