President Dina Boluarte delivered 54,468 title deeds to families and public institutions from various parts of the country in a ceremony held at the Lima-based Government Palace on Tuesday.

This event saw the participation of Housing, Construction, and Sanitation Minister Durich Whittembury, as well as members of Congress, regional governors, mayors, the general commanders of the Peruvian National Police (PNP) and the fire department, among others.

During her Address to the Nation for Peru's Independence Day Anniversary on July 28, Mrs. Boluarte reported that more than 268,000 residents from various Peruvian regions directly benefited from the delivery of title deeds by the State-run Informal Property Formalization Agency (Cofopri).

The Head of State indicated that, of a total of 71,000 title deeds delivered nationwide, 67,118 are for housing and 3,488 are for public services such as educational centers, health posts, police stations, fire departments, recreational areas, and cemeteries.
