Peru: President Castillo attended Civic-Military Parade

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Friday attended the National Holidays Civic-Military Parade within the framework of the Bicentennial of Independence.

The event was held at the Army General Headquarters in Lima's San Borja district.

Given the restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremony took place without the presence of crowds.

This event was also attended by Prime Minister Guido Bellido, Cabinet members, Congress Chairwoman Maria del Carmen Alva, high military commanders of the three armed institutes, and other personalities.

The celebration took place one year after it was suspended due to the state of emergency.
