The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Tuesday urged the three levels of government to work in a cohesive manner so as to meet the population's main needs, as well as boost the infrastructure and development works required by this country.

During his final speech at the Decentralized Council of Ministers session in Arequipa, Mr. Castillo stressed that these types of meetings will continue being scheduled.

Thus, he also invited Congress members to travel with Executive Branch officials to reach out to every Peruvian region.

"What we have to do is what authorities say, and that involves uniting the efforts undertaken by the three levels of government because we have a shared responsibility, which involves mayors, regional governments, and the central government," he said.

In this sense, the Head of State highlighted the approval by Congress of the bill that proposes reactivating the execution of stalled public works, as it will allow the continuation of said projects for the benefit of the country.

"Similarly, I want to salute Congress of the Republic, which sets an example of what we had been requesting for a long time at (sessions of) the Council of Ministers," Mr. Castillo expressed.

"The bill which has just been approved, (meaning) the law that regulates the reactivation of stalled public works (...), is important to give the green light to these projects and these works in favor of the Peruvian people," he stressed.
