President Martin Vizcarra on Friday announced that more women would be part of the Peruvian Ministerial Cabinet until
gender equality has been achieved.
In this sense, the Head of State recalled that five women work as Ministers of Environment, Women, Health, Labor, as well as Development and Social Inclusion.
"(…) and there should be more, and there will be more," the top official expressed.
Furthermore, the statesman indicated that if the Government shows clear signs of the path gender equality should take, and society undertakes efforts and changes its way of thinking, a deep revolution will be accomplished.
"We must eradicate it together," the top official added.
Moreover, the Head of State hopes to see a real revolution in the 21st century, "one that helps us find justice and equality between men and women."
