Peru: President Boluarte swears in four State Ministers

The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Tuesday evening administered the oath of office to four new State Ministers who will lead the following sectors: Defense, Economy-Finance, Energy-Mines, and Environment.

On this occasion, the Head of State swore in Walter Enrique Astudillo Chavez as Minister of Defense. He succeeds Jorge Chavez Cresta in the post.

Subsequently, Jose Berley Arista Arbildo was sworn in as new Minister of Economy and Finance. He replaces Alex Contreras Miranda.

Afterwards, Romulo Mucho Mamani was sworn in as new Minister of Energy and Mines. He succeeds Oscar Vera Gargurevich in office.

Lastly, the top official administered the oath of office to Juan Carlos Castro Vargas, who has become Minister of Environment, thus replacing Albina Ruiz Rios in this position.

This ceremony took place at the Government Palace in the Peruvian capital, Lima.
